Hey, I’m Leonie,
I'm a business coach based in Auckland, New Zealand, helping established coaches, consultants and creative service providers design businesses that are more profitable, spacious and enjoyable to run.
When I'm not helping women build their businesses, you'll usually find me with my family at the beach, curled up under a blanket with a good book, or out walking my dog with a podcast in my ears.
But I wasn't always my own boss.
I used to be chained to a desk in a basement office, hoping my annual leave would be approved, counting down to weekends, and knowing my income and opportunities were ultimately decided by someone else.
I knew there had to be another way.
So I did what any sensible person would do...
I quit.
The Journey Here
In 2019, I started my first business as a brand concept and design consultant.
Like most business owners, I had to climb that steep learning curve of marketing myself, selling my services, pricing my offers, delivering my work and the big one… shifting my mindset from employee to entrepreneur, all while figuring out how to build a business that actually worked.
Soon, I’d replaced my salary.
But behind the scenes, I was exhausted.
I was juggling motherhood, client work and the constant pressure of trying to do everything.
After a serious health scare, I realised something had to change.
I didn't just want a successful business. I wanted one that genuinely supported the life I was trying to build. So I redesigned everything.
I simplified and refined my strategy and built a business where every part worked better together.
That experience completely changed how I think about business.
Why I Do This Work
Before starting my business, I spent almost a decade working as an architect.
In architecture, you don't start with the building.
You start with how someone wants to live in it.
I believe business should work exactly the same way.
Instead of asking, "How can I grow my business?"
I encourage you to ask, "What kind of life do I want my business to support"
